About this class
Whether you've always wanted to design your own logos, social media graphics, posters, or branding materials — this course is your starting point. Over 12 live, interactive sessions, you'll be guided step-by-step through the fundamental principles and practical tools that every graphic designer relies on. No experience? No problem. This course is built from the ground up for absolute beginners who are ready to start creating. Each session combines live demonstrations, guided design practice, and real-time feedback so you're never just watching — you're doing. You'll explore the building blocks of great design including color theory, typography, layout, and visual hierarchy, while working inside beginner-friendly design software to complete real projects along the way. By the end of the course, you'll have a small portfolio of original work to show for it. This isn't a lecture series or a self-paced tutorial library. It's a live class where your instructor sees your work, gives you personalized feedback, and helps you grow in real time alongside other learners. You'll develop both the eye of a designer and the technical skills to bring your ideas to life. Whether your goal is a new career path, freelance work, or simply expressing your creativity, this course gives you the foundation to move forward with confidence.
What we'll do

- Before-and-after redesign exercises using provided starter templates
- Brand identity build project spanning multiple sessions to reinforce cumulative learning
- Final portfolio showcase where learners present and explain their design decisions
Practical Project

This capstone project demonstrates mastery of foundational graphic design concepts through a real-world application.
Expected result: A complete mini brand identity kit including: a primary logo (and at least one variation), a defined color palette with hex codes, a typography guide, a business card design, one social media post template, exported assets in multiple formats, and a verbal design rationale presentation shared with the class.
